Substance misuse is a pervasive issue in our society. Alcohol and drugs impact personal well-being, family dynamics, public safety, and community health. Objectives: Participants will be able to- 1. Recognize the fads and trends of today’s drug use. L 2. List factors that may lead to drug abuse (risk factors) and factors in drug abuse prevention (protective factors). 3. Recognize the effects of substance abuse on families and list the addictive family roles. 4. How to support children of drug/alcohol affected homes. Audience: Middle School Teachers and administrators
