The South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Standards for Mathematics, grades K – 5, “ensure that all students develop the sense of numeracy.” What is numeracy? Why is it important? Most importantly, how can we help students develop it? Join us as we explore these questions and look at some practical instructional shifts that you can employ to move your students to numerical literacy.

Teaching special education, elementary and middle level students, Mark Cota has been in Aiken County for 32 years . The past seven years he has worked in Curriculum Technology, helping teachers integrate technology into their classrooms.
